Turtle board specs are at the manufacturer, looks like we're doing a<br>
small production run mostly without preorders and then selling those.<br>
(It's easier if we can hand somebody inventory and have them do<br>
fulfillment, then the weird legal things about bank accounts are<br>
somebody else's problem.)<br>

Those of you on the IRC channel saw that the reason the j-core website<br>
was down for a day or so was a power failure took out one of the servers<br>
(attached to a UPS that didn't) and then it didn't come back right when<br>
power came back on. Fixed now.<br>

I'm working on <a href="https://github.com/landley/mkroot" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://github.com/landley/<wbr>mkroot</a> as a replacement for<br>
aboriginal linux, and the j-core website's build instructions should be<br>
completely rewritten when I can cut a release of that, but it depends on<br>
toybox code that's only in the git repository right now, so I have to<br>
cut a toybox release first. If you want to try it now you can do the<br>
mcm-buildall.sh stuff in the README to get toolchains, and then do:<br>

cd download<br>
git clone git://<a href="http://github.com/landley/toybox" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">github.com/landley/<wbr>toybox</a><br>

So it builds against toybox git instead of the last release tarball. (I<br>
don't have a kernel config checked in for j-core yet either so adding<br>
"kernel" to the command line won't work for that target, give me a<br>
couple more days...)<br>

I'm leaning towards doing a 62.5 mhz VHDL tarball source release when<br>
turtle ships if we haven't got the history up on github yet by then.<br>
We've been trying to avoid a _third_ historyless tarball, but the<br>
delay's getting silly and we should get the darn code out there for<br>
people to play with...<br>

Smallish pilot production, likely 50 or 100pcs.<br>
<br>
The prototypes (I think we built 10 or 15) were good out of the gate, the only changes were things like the USB connector has a tendency to break (changed to ones with through hole anchor pins).<br>
